How to Capture Video

In addition to using model video and video from your locker, you may also capture your own video using an iPhone 3G or newer, iPod Touch 4th generation, as well as the iPad 2 or newer.

You may capture or import video from either a student's page or from the Library page.  From a student page, use the Camera icon.  From the Library page, use the + icon.

On the devices with cameras, you may choose to use the camera for a New video capture, or choose a previously recorded video from the device's Photo Albums

On the iPhone 3G, you may capture 4 to 7 seconds of video, depending on the amount of free workspace RAM available.  If too little RAM is available, you may try restarting your device to free up more RAM.

Once the camera preview window is showing live video, touch the "T-" indicator to adjust the variable countdown timer between 0, 5, 10, and 15 seconds.  When you click record, the countdown will begin, and recording will begin once the countdown has reached 0.

On newer devices, captured video will be limited to 60 seconds, but following recording, you will be given the opportunity to shorten or trim the video before accepting it.  To do this, from the Edit Video or Choose Video window, touch and slide the left and right handles found on either side of the video timeline sequence before touching the Use button.

Your new video will be placed into either the New category or the Student Video category and will automatically open in the app's video analysis screen.
